We are currently looking for an Inbound Logistics Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This internship offers the opportunity to support the logistics network responsible for transporting production parts across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico into Nissan's vehicle manufacturing facilities. The intern will gain hands-on experience leveraging data analytics, supply chain strategies, and logistics planning to optimize operations and improve network performance. This role is ideal for students interested in solving complex supply chain challenges through data-driven decision making.

A Day in the Life:

  • Create new data analysis tools and enhance existing reporting processes to support logistics operations.
  • Analyze supply chain and transportation data to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to source and validate data needed to support key performance indicators.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical models to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to automate day-to-day operations, forecasting processes, and logistics planning activities using analytics and visualization tools.

Who We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Students entering their Junior, Senior, or Master's program at the start of the upcoming academic term.
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages used for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
  • Interest in supply chain management, logistics optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
