POSITION OBJECTIVES

LiveTrends is currently searching for a highly energetic, motivated, and creative individual to fill the role of Industrial Designer . The main task is to contribute to all 3D creative areas: from product design, development and packaging to general creative problem solving. A divergent, innovative mind set is key. A divergent and innovative mindset is essential for the perfect candidate being someone who challenges the status quo, sees possibilities others may overlook, and turns unconventional ideas into meaningful design solutions.

We are looking for a talented individual who is a skilled model maker, passionate about contemporary arts and crafts, and who can conceive beautifully curated home decor products that incorporate live plants.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• •Design innovative and desirable products from a clear product brief while staying within budget.
• •Generate multiple and varied concepts on a theme.
• •Learn and then execute on the creative process.
• •Immerse yourself in the company to deliver a clear “brand voice” to all products.
• •Become familiar with all LiveTrends product collections past and present, to better inform collection design moving forward.
• •Collaborate effectively with all product stakeholders and beyond.
• •Know how to interpret and process Trend Reports into excellent forward-thinking product design.
• •Packaging design, POS design, display design, and creative problem solving beyond just the Product Design Studio.

Requirements

SPECIFIC SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• •Degree in Industrial Design, Craft Design, or relevant equivalent and 4-6 years professional experience in that design space.
• •All around creativity, exquisite taste, and a finger on the pulse of contemporary design and culture.
• •Basic understanding and knowledge of manufacturing, materials, and processes.
• •A passion for Home Décor, Floral, and/or Fashion industries is preferred.
• •Keen interest in trends, design, art, and mass market retail.
• •A portfolio of innovative, desirable, consumer product design solutions that have launched in market.
• •Ability to listen, effectively take direction, and learn on the job.
• •Ability to communicate clearly through sketches.
• •Excellent presentation skills.
• •Willing to take the initiative and to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• •Competent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino 3D ( or equivalent ), Keyshot ( or equivalent ).
• •Being knowledgeable about new AI creative tools is an advantage.
• •Perfectionist approach and attention to detail.
