We believe in play-based learning, individualized instruction, and continuous assessment to help every child reach their fullest potential.

Position Overview:

Role: Teacher

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Type: Full-time, non-exempt position

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:30 am-5:30 pm (Year-Round)

Starting Salary: Dependent on education level:

CDA/SEED Equivalent Certificate: $24.28 per hour

Associate's Degree: $26.70 per hour

Bachelor's Degree: $29.38 per hour

Graduate Degree: $32.32 per hour

There is a 10-step wage scale built into this position that occurs annually.

Introductory Period: 90-day probation period

Responsibilities:

Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Implement play-based learning and individual/small group instruction strategies.

Conduct ongoing assessments and collaborate with parents to set goals for children's growth.

Participate in professional development opportunities and coaching to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

Current Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with Infant Toddler specific training, OR

State of Alaska SEED Practitioner Certificate Level Six or higher with willingness to obtain CDA within 6 months of hire, OR

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with specific coursework in early childhood education.
