We are currently seeking a skilled information governance specialist to support our client, a university in Western Australia, as part of its legal and compliance team. This is a full-time, 12-month engagement with a hybrid work schedule. Ideal candidates will have experience in e-discovery, litigation support or information governance, gained in a law firm or large corporate legal department.
Responsibilities:
Support a busy legal and compliance team with information and document management from receipt through to resolution. This includes conducting document searches, assisting with e-discovery, preparing responses to information requests, and working with internal teams to prepare responses and disclosures.
Prepare responses to FOI, legal and other regulatory information requests, along with disclosure materials, records and related correspondence.
Manage document collection across functions while maintaining confidentiality, and prepare disclosure packs, schedules and correspondence.
Communicate with legal teams, regulators, applicants and other stakeholders throughout the process, providing timely and sensitive responses.
Qualifications:
3–8+ years’ experience in legal support, information governance, e-discovery or a related field.
Familiarity with FOI or information access, legal operations, investigations, litigation support, government or records-intensive environments. WA public-sector experience is highly regarded.
Confidence working with large, complex document sets, including subpoenas, requests to produce, discovery or e-discovery. Privacy or information-governance experience is an advantage.
Strong written communication, organisation and attention to detail, with a sense of urgency, sound judgement and a positive, adaptable approach to working independently and across teams.
