Summary

IT Specialist (APPSW) Infrastructure Engineer positions are being filled through the Office of Personnel Management's delegated Direct Hire Authority, open to all U.S. citizens. Selections made under this bulletin will be processed as new appointments to the civil service. Current civil service employees would, therefore, be given new appointments to the civil service. Under the provisions of the Direct Hire Authority, Veterans Preference and the "Rule of Many" do not apply.

Duties: Knowledge of a wide-range of multi-platform software/hardware products and services in a multi-platform software development environment. Skill installing, configuring, and supporting various operating systems. Ability to analyze software/hardware problems and formulate solutions. Skill installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Skill installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server Update Services. Skill coordinating technical tasks with fellow employees and/or vendors. Ability to organize joint inter-component efforts. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Minimum Qualifications: Grade 13 To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent. Such IT-related experience must include all of the following: 1) Supporting Windows Server Infrastructure, 2), knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, and 3) recommending implementable innovative solutions.
