Inserter Operator/ Print Operator

Shifts:12 Hour Shift:

• •Sunday - Tuesday, every other Saturday: 6 PM - 6 AM
• •Wednesday - Friday, every other Saturday: 6 PM - 6 AM

Responsibilities & Essential Duties: Operates the Bell & Howell, Pitney Bowes, Flowmaster-6 pocket, and/or other intelligent inserter equipment on the production floor, during the assigned time frames, to the quality standards established by the Production Supervisor. • •Job set up
• •Equipment operation that inserts printed matter, primarily direct mail
• •Follow job orders and special instructions
• •Oversee output and adjust as necessary
• •Mail sorting and traying as needed
• •Completion of production paperwork
• •Quality Control steps completed accurately
• •Maintenance of a clean work area, as well as other duties and responsibilities assigned by the production supervisor
• •Must be flexible to work overtime as needed to get the job done

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •Minimum 1-year experience operating mail inserting equipment.
• •Experience operating Pitney Bowes Flowmaster, Epic and/or Bell & Howell a huge plus
• •Great knowledge in standard job setups and operating features of the inserter equipment
• •Solid Math skills
• •Solid written and verbal communications skills
• •Ability to identify inadequate machine operation and make basic adjustments.
• •Ability to read and understand Zip reports
• •Ability to sort and tray mail
• •Strong mechanical skills required
• •Comfortable working within a team environment

Education :

High School degree or equivalent trade school training

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• •Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours & walk 3 hours
• •Lift up to 50lbs
• •Intermittent bending up to 3 hours.
