American International University (AIU) is a private institution in Kuwait, founded in 2019, offering undergraduate programs in Engineering and Computing, Architecture and Design, Business, Arts and Sciences, and Education. Position Overview

The postholder is responsible to work on the development and production of statistical and analytical reports for Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness practices within a Higher Education environment and should have in-depth knowledge and experience of national and international accreditation standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake analysis and validation of extracted data to ensure data accuracy for data-driven decision making and improvements and for regulatory requirements

Produce data visualizations such as charts, diagrams, dashboards, and narrative analysis to clearly demonstrate and interpret institutional data to varying audiences

Develop complex reports and data sets to meet recurring data requests for internal and external reporting and facilitate prompt decision making.

Provide technical assistance through responding to data and report requests from different University Units pertaining to educational research, trend analysis, student enrollment analysis, etc.

Assist in developing and implementing IE data management tools and applications.

Enhance the University's institutional research capability by providing technical expertise and consulting on research design, survey development and data analysis for assessment-related

Maintain archival research information essential for Key performance indicators and trend analyses.

Continuously benchmark and update surveys with the required data collection methodology to ensure statistically significant analyses

Coordinate, implement data collection according to annual schedule, and analyze Institutional surveys for program reviews, discipline-specific accreditations and regulatory requirements including but not limited to student, faculty, staff, and alumni

Generate accurate, timely and informative analysis reports showing trends, internal and external benchmarks to facilitate further planning.

Follow-up with academic and non-academic units to ensure submission of high-quality action taken reports built as a response to different surveys and support in closing the quality enhancement loop of all units.

Prepares and updates annual university publications, i.e., institutional data and reports (Fact Book, Fast Facts, Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness Manual, Policies & Procedures, Operational Plan, Strategic Plan).

Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of Institutional Effectiveness working techniques

Experience with statistical programming languages (for example, SAS, R)

Skills in research methodology and design, statistics, and mathematics.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited University (Masters preferable).

8-10 years relevant Institutional Research experience in Higher Education
