Amazon is looking for a smart, and driven Instock Specialist to support Subsame Day business. The Instock Specialist will be responsible for driving inventory decisions and key supply chain initiatives for Mexico's fast-growing business. He or she will be responsible for developing and executing best practices in managing inventory to maximize sales, margin, and inventory turns. He or she will have responsibility for ensuring all inventory systems and processes are meeting the needs of the business and implementing controls around these processes. Key areas of focus include driving improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency and improving product sourcing decisions. The Instock specialist will also drive supply chain program adoption and new programs.

A successful candidate possesses superb business judgment, instock or operations management experience, strong skills in working cross functionally, and a track record of delivering results through others. He or she will excel in having strong analytical capabilities, including experience generating and managing forecasts, reports, and analyses. The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • 1. Define and own the annual instock strategic and operational plan for the category, including availability targets (SoROOS), cost-to-serve goals, inventory turns, and inventory health metrics
  • 2. Lead CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) strategy at the category level — owning monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecast alignment across the vendor portfolio and ensuring buying input parameters are optimized across all accounts
  • 3. Audit and optimize complex forecasting, IPC, and Supply Chain systems to ensure performance within goal/control limits; create long-term category solutions that automate or simplify replenishment and ordering processes
  • 4. Identify, manage, and execute multiple medium-to-large supply chain programs that are cross-functional and involve external partners — from CTS roadmap execution to placement optimization to vendor operational performance improvements
