Integrated Master Scheduler Business Analyst

Position summary

We are seeking a junior Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) / Scheduling Analyst to translate Federal Client screening program objectives into workable project plans and timelines. This hands-on Microsoft Project role requires more than entering dates: the analyst works with task owners to understand the work, sequence activities, link dependencies, and keep schedules current under the guidance of the Program Manager or senior scheduler.

Responsibilities

· Build and maintain Microsoft Project schedules using defined Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), task durations, milestones, dependencies, and assigned responsibilities.

· Meet with program and technical staff to develop planning assumptions, confirm logical task sequences, and document realistic completion dates.

· Collect status updates; enter actual starts/finishes, remaining durations, and approved changes; compare progress with the approved schedule baseline.

· Identify missing dependencies, conflicting dates, delayed milestones, and potential critical-path impacts; flag concerns and help evaluate recovery options with the scheduling lead.

· Support common IMS templates and integration of assigned portfolio schedules; prepare milestone summaries, look-ahead schedules, and accessible briefing inputs, coordinating impacts with financial and risk analysts.

Deliverables supported

Support initial IMS delivery within 30 days after contract award, followed by weekly updates and updates arising from meetings; prepare assigned schedule analyses and reporting inputs.

Requirements

Minimum Required qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in business, project management, operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· Junior experience profile: 0-2 years of project coordination, scheduling, or related analytical experience; internships and substantive academic projects may be considered.

· Hands-on Microsoft Project experience creating and updating schedules, including task hierarchies, dependencies, milestones, baselines, and progress tracking; experience may come from work or structured projects.

· Ability to explain schedule logic, organize inputs from multiple task owners, and communicate clearly using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications

Exposure to federal acquisition or program management, Integrated Master Plans (IMPs), screening technology programs, or critical-path analysis.
