  • Assemble, configure, and operate test articles, prototypes, engineering development units, and supporting equipment.
  • Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
  • Design, fabricate, and improve test fixtures and tooling; modify and reconfigure prototype hardware as designs evolve.
  • Collect and analyze test data, document results, and communicate findings and recommendations to design engineers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues, investigate failures, and validate design changes.
  • Develop and improve test plans, procedures, work instructions, and verification documentation.
  • Support payload integration, environmental testing, and launch preparation.
  • Maintain organized test records and help improve engineering development and test processes.

  • Experience using common mechanical tools and measurement equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to document results and communicate technical findings clearly.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing or fabricating test fixtures and tooling.
  • Experience with prototype development, product iteration, validation, or environmental testing.
  • Experience using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, or data acquisition systems.
