We're looking for a Mandarin-speaking Intel Collection Associate (Geopolitical) to join our Trust & Safety team, supporting Taiwan market.

In this role, you'll conduct open-source research to identify emerging issues, monitor online conversations, assess potential risks, and support efforts to prevent product abuse.

Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates must possess a deep understanding of Taiwan's local context, including its news environment, current affairs, social media landscape, internet communities, cultural references, and geopolitical developments.

Native Taiwanese candidates who are able to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates with substantial experience living, and working in Taiwan, along with a strong understanding of Taiwan's evolving social, political, and cultural landscape, are also welcome to apply.

Below is the detailed job description:

Job Scope:

• •Search the internet daily for any potentially damaging issues and user risks
• •Log leads found via open-source intelligence, allowing stakeholders to take action
• •Assist on ad hoc projects aimed at preventing product abuse for the client
• •Monitor situations and provide up-to-date information cross-functionally
• •Work with analysts to research various topics and keywords to provide early warning signals for current events and trends happening globally
• •Acknowledge and staying up to date on all team process updates

Job Qualification

• •BA/BS degree. The ideal candidate will have majored in political science, journalism, international relations, history, or a related field
• •Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams with senior stakeholder and executive visibility
• •Calm under pressure, with an ability to function well in urgent, developing situations
• •Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
• •Native-level proficiency in Traditional Chinese
• •Fluent in English (Speaking/Writing/Reading)

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Understanding of international and geopolitical events and how they may impact a global company
• •Strong technical competency, with a data-driven analytical approach toward observing developing trends
• •Strong interest in the internet, pop culture, news media, history and current events
• •Expertise with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments
• •High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity
• •Customer service/client experience preferred
• •Basic knowledge, education, experience or interest in Open-source Intel gathering and social media monitoring is a plus
