As an IBM Consulting FutureNow Center Intern, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to help solve real business and technology challenges for clients around the world. You'll gain hands-on experience, build in-demand technical and professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects while learning in a collaborative, team-based environment. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience that prepares students for a potential full-time career with IBM Consulting upon graduation. Throughout your internship, you’ll gain exposure to software engineering, cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), DevOps, Agile, and enterprise application development, while working with experienced engineers, architects, and technology professionals on real client projects across multiple industries. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time Associate opportunities following graduation, based on business needs and individual performance. To give yourself the best opportunity for success, we advise applying only to roles that align with your skills and experience, rather than applying broadly across all entry-level positions. You’ll receive a status update email for each application, so be sure to check your IBM Careers account regularly — it’s the best way to get a centralized view of which roles you have active applications against. The primary internship program dates are May to July 2027 (10 weeks). * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. * Interest in software development, application engineering, cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, automation, or digital transformation. * Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, or similar technologies. * Basic understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, APIs, and problem-solving concepts. * Exposure to ServiceNow, workflow platforms, enterprise applications, JavaScript, or automation technologies through coursework, projects, certifications, internships, or personal learning * Awareness of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, automation, cybersecurity, and modern software engineering practices. * Experience gained through academic projects, internships, hackathons, student organizations, research, volunteer experiences, IBM SkillsBuild, certifications, or other practical learning opportunities. * You don't need to be an expert to get started.
