Internship Program Details:

Internship Duration: December 2026 through Mid-March 202 7

Weekly Commitment: up to 20 hours per week

Timeline: Interviews will begin in early/mid-October

Cohort of 6-8 interns for the duration of the season

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Interns will support the delivery of Spokane Sports events. Working within the Event Management department, interns will play a vital role in ensuring events run smoothly, partners are well-supported, and participants enjoy a world-class experience. Each intern will collectively contribut e to the overall success of events aligned with Spokane Sports’ mission and standards of excellence.

Intern Job Duties :

Volunteer Coordination and Event Floor Management: Manage and coordinate volunteers on-site to ensure smooth operations.

Timing/Live Results Support: Assist with timing systems and act as an iPad/camera operator and trainer for field events.

Event Floor Operations/Oversight: Handle equipment setup, staging, assembly, and organization of work areas and tables.

Event Preparation & Teardown: Participate in preparations for events and assist with post-event teardown.

Hospitality & Event Management Room Supervision: Coordinate with vendors and caterers for deliveries and orders; maintain and organize hospitality; manage supply runs and deliveries; check in and account for volunteers, officials, medical staff, media, and assigned workers; and ensure personnel are placed effectively and event needs are met.

Team Packet Assembly: Assemble team packets and materials.

Awards Area Management: Oversee the awards presentation area, coordinating with meet management staff; assist with announcements and presentation coordination during competitions.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements

Extensive time spent onsite at events.

Frequent evening and weekend work required during event season.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and actively participate in event setup and teardown .

Ability to stand for extended periods during event days.

Reliable transportation to and from event sites.

Weekly commitment of up to 20 hours per week.

$1,500 stipend upon successful completion of the internship.
