Let’s talk about the Team
The Manufacturing Project Lead (MPL) team works across Product Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and other functions to support the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing.
Our role is highly collaborative. We help bring the right people together, keep manufacturing activities moving, identify and communicate risks, and support teams in preparing for key project milestones and product launch.
As an MPL Intern, you’ll get exposure to how new products move from development into manufacturing and learn how different teams work together to deliver a project.
Let’s talk about the Role
As an MPL Intern, you will work alongside experienced Manufacturing Project Leads and support the coordination and delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
This internship is an opportunity to develop practical project management and stakeholder engagement skills in a real manufacturing environment. You’ll attend cross-functional project meetings, help track actions and timelines, support project documentation and learn how manufacturing risks and readiness are managed throughout a project.
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. We’re looking for someone who is curious, organised, comfortable working with different people and willing to ask questions and learn.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
As part of the MPL team, you may:
- Support Manufacturing Project Leads with day-to-day project coordination and follow-up.
- Participate in cross-functional project meetings and help capture actions, decisions and key updates.
- Help maintain project plans, action trackers, risks and other project information.
- Follow up with team members on agreed actions and help keep activities moving.
- Support the preparation of project updates, presentations and documentation.
- Work with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Development and other teams.
- Assist with manufacturing readiness and NPI activities under the guidance of an experienced MPL.
- Support smaller, defined pieces of project work as your knowledge and confidence develop.
- Learn how project risks, timelines, priorities and changes are managed in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Contribute ideas and look for opportunities to improve the way the team works.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
To apply as a student intern:
- You should be studying towards a relevant university degree, such as Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.
- You enjoy working with people and are comfortable communicating with different teams.
- You are organised and able to keep track of multiple actions and priorities.
- You are curious and willing to ask questions when you don’t understand something.
- You are comfortable learning in an environment where things can change and not every answer is immediately known.
- You are a team player who is willing to contribute, try new things and learn from mistakes.
- You can communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Previous manufacturing or project management experience is not required — this internship is an opportunity to learn.
Working with us is not just an opportunity to help millions of people live healthier, higher-quality lives. It’s an opportunity to learn, contribute and gain first-hand experience in how new products are brought into manufacturing.
So join us and help us shape the future!
*Do note that the internship will commence on 11 January 2027 and it will last for 20 weeks.
