Role Summary
The International Production Manager supports the delivery of client-facing marketing activity across EMEA and APAC through high-quality, efficient, and compliant print, merchandise, fulfilment, and related production services. Working closely with regional and global marketing and design teams, this role helps bring campaigns, events, and business development initiatives to market in a way that reflects brand standards, supports commercial priorities, and contributes to a strong client experience.
This is an experienced marketing operations and production role for someone who combines strong delivery skills with sound judgment and a practical understanding of how production choices affect quality, timing, cost, and stakeholder outcomes. The role manages a broad range of projects and workstreams, advises internal stakeholders on production and fulfilment options, and ensures execution is well coordinated across markets, vendors, and timelines.
A key part of the role is managing external vendor relationships across print, branded merchandise, and fulfilment, including oversight of primary intermediary vendors and specialist suppliers. The role is also responsible for the day-to-day management and enhancement of online print and merchandise stores, and for identifying practical process and technology improvements that support efficiency, scalability, and ease of use.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working across a varied portfolio of activity, balancing day-to-day execution with continuous improvement, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective production solutions that support business goals.
Responsibilities
Deliver print, branded merchandise, fulfilment, direct mail, and related production services across EMEA and APAC in support of client-facing marketing campaigns, events, and business development activity, with consideration for industry best practices and sustainable production methods.
Partner with regional marketing teams and other stakeholders to understand campaign objectives, timelines, budgets, audiences, and operational requirements, and translate these into effective production and fulfilment plans.
Advise stakeholders on production options and trade-offs, including format, sourcing, fulfilment approach, timing, sustainability, quality, and cost, helping them make informed decisions aligned to campaign and business needs.
Serve as internal project manager for mid- to large-scale production and merchandise initiatives, collaborating with design teams and coordinating schedules, deliverables, dependencies, vendors, and approvals to ensure accurate and timely execution.
Own the day-to-day management of online print and merchandise stores, including product setup, user experience, growth of self-service capabilities, stock and on-demand offerings, issue resolution, stakeholder feedback, and continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with key external vendors across print, merchandise, and fulfilment, including primary intermediary vendors and specialist suppliers. Set high standards for service levels, quality, responsiveness, and cost performance, driving improvements where needed. Conduct quarterly business reviews to monitor performance, address issues, and maintain a high level of service.
Lead or support sourcing activity for production and merchandise requirements, including researching suppliers, preparing specifications, obtaining bids, evaluating options, and making recommendations based on service, quality, scalability, and cost.
Work closely with vendors to address quality issues, resolve service challenges, and improve delivery standards while maintaining effective working relationships and a strong focus on stakeholder experience.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase self-service, standardise repeatable solutions, and reduce manual effort across production and fulfilment processes.
Partner with internal teams to assess workflow and technology solutions that support more effective delivery of print and merchandise services, including request management, template-based design, online ordering, inventory, and knowledge tools.
Provide regular reporting and insight on operational activity, vendor performance, service usage, cost trends, and project outcomes, using this information to support decision-making and service improvement.
Lead the implementation and adoption of practical, scalable solutions for recurring business needs, including standard product ranges, self-serve ordering pathways, and repeatable production approaches for priority initiatives.
Ensure all production activity is delivered in line with applicable brand, regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements. Coordinate reviews and controls, oversee remediation where issues arise, and help strengthen standards and best practices over time.
Anticipate operational risks and delivery challenges, develop contingency plans, and respond effectively when priorities, timelines, or requirements change.
Build strong working relationships across regional marketing teams and related functions, acting as a trusted operational partner and subject matter resource in international production and fulfilment.
