What you’ll do

  • Production Process Validation: Conduct detailed cycle time studies for manufacturing operations, comparing actual shop floor production cycle times against system routing data. Identify and document discrepancies, assist in validating routing sequences and work center assignments within the ERP system. Daily activities include observing production processes and ensuring data accuracy. Success means improved production planning accuracy and operational efficiency. Travel may be required occasionally to various production sites.
  • SOP Review and Documentation: Review and update Manufacturing Process Documentation (MPD) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by observing actual shop floor practices and ensuring documentation reflects current manufacturing processes. Daily tasks involve collaborating with teams to standardize and clarify procedures. Success is measured by clear, standardized, and aligned documentation.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze production data from shop floor operations to identify process flow issues, production lead times, and bottlenecks. Prepare reports highlighting gaps and improvement opportunities. Daily work includes maintaining accurate records and reporting findings. Success is demonstrated by actionable insights that drive process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate closely with Production, TPD, Manufacturing Engineering, and Planning teams. Participate in continuous improvement projects, support meetings, and assist in implementing approved process updates. Success is effective teamwork and smooth implementation of improvements.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly progress reports on data collection, cycle time validation, and SOP review activities. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, maintaining thorough project documentation. Success is timely and accurate communication of project status and outcomes.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in any discipline .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or data analysis.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and interacting with shop floor personnel.
