Investment Banking Associate - Power

Citi is looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join its Institutional Banking team, playing a central role in advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic financial transactions. Responsibilities

• •Execute investment banking transactions across M&A advisory and capital markets, managing deal timelines, workstreams, and client deliverables from mandate to close.
• •Advise clients on strategic financial transactions by developing investment recommendations and supporting capital raising activities in coordination with the Institutional Banking team.
• •Build and maintain financial models and analyses to evaluate corporate transactions, deal structures, and market opportunities.
• •Act as intermediary in client trading activities, supporting transaction execution and ensuring accurate information flow throughout the process.
• •Mentor and guide junior analysts by providing structured feedback, managing information flow, and supporting their professional development on live transactions.
• •Contribute to the growth of Citi's investment banking franchise by supporting client development efforts and tracking business development opportunities through industry research and trend analysis.
• •Assess risk and apply sound judgement in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Required qualifications & skills

• •5 to 8 years of experience in investment banking or a closely related financial advisory role.
• •Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
• •Demonstrated ability to evaluate corporate transactions and structures, with practical experience across deal types.
• •Proficiency in building and interpreting financial analyses to support transaction and client advisory work.
• •Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, current or ability to obtain
• •Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to clients and senior stakeholders.
• •Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage competing priorities, and maintain quality under tight deadlines.

Beneficial skills & qualifications

• •Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• •Experience supporting client development and business origination in an investment banking context.
• •Familiarity with tracking industry trends and conducting sector-level research to inform business development strategy.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

• $175,000.00 - $225,000.00
