About the Role

Dynasty Investment Bank is looking for an experienced investment banker to join the team as a Vice President (VP). The VP will lead transaction execution for independent wealth management firms, serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, and provide strategic advice on M&A, capital raising and succession. The role is a senior member of each deal team and carries responsibility for mentoring Analysts and Associates.

About the Team

Our team advises RIA founders and CEOs at major milestones of their lifecycle, including but not limited to launching an RIA, providing advice on M&A preparedness, structuring recruiting deals, executing sell-side mandates, bringing in a minority or growth equity partner, acquiring other firms, financing growth, and planning ownership transitions. We work with wealth management owners, acquirers, and private capital participants that invest in the sector. The team offers a fast-paced environment with real ownership of transactions, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and the chance to build deep expertise and relationships in a sector that continues to consolidate and evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Build and strengthen relationships with RIA owners, CEOs and other senior decision-makers, acting as a primary day-to-day contact and trusted advisor

Lead execution of transactions from origination through closing, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, minority and majority equity investments, recapitalizations, and debt financings

Turn financial, valuation and market analysis into clear strategic recommendations that fit each client’s goals

Oversee financial models, valuation analyses, marketing materials, management presentations and other client deliverables

Advise clients on industry trends, valuation drivers, buyer and investor landscapes and deal structure alternatives

Run buyer and investor outreach and competitive processes, including managing diligence, negotiations and transaction documentation

Coordinate with attorneys, tax advisors, accountants and other internal and external stakeholders

Manage deal teams and workflows to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery

Mentor, train and develop Analysts and Associates

Contribute to business development, pitch and marketing efforts, and thought leadership such as webinars and forums

Collaborate with other Dynasty teams to deliver a coordinated experience for clients

Requirements

Qualifications

7+ years of investment banking or equivalent experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a Master’s degree

Track record of executing complex transactions and managing multiple workstreams at once

Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to owners and executives

Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, senior stakeholders and deal teams

Leadership experience managing and developing junior professionals

Sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Collaborative approach to working across teams

Preferred Experience

Experience in wealth management, asset management, financial services or FIG coverage, ideally including RIA M&A

Experience with minority and growth equity transactions, succession and ownership transition planning, or acquisition financing

Existing relationships with RIA owners, acquirers or private capital investors

Series 79 and Series 63 required

Who Will Succeed in This Role

Someone who enjoys advising entrepreneurs through one of the biggest decisions of their careers, brings both technical rigor and strong judgment, and is comfortable owning a process while developing the people around them.
