MSIM FMIL

MSIM Fund Management (Ireland) Limited (“MSIM FMIL”) is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as both a UCITS Management Company and an Alternative Investment Fund Manager. It is also authorised to undertake certain MiFID Activities including Individual Portfolio Management (“IPM”) and Investment Advisory (“IA”) Services for separately managed accounts, sales and marketing activities for funds not managed by MSIM FMIL and for its expertise with respect to IPM and IA Services. MSIM FMIL oversees a broad suite of funds domiciled in Ireland and internationally. In addition to its Irish operations, MSIM FMIL operates from 8 branches across Europe.

Team profile and role overview

The role sits within Distribution Oversight of MSIM FMIL and more broadly within MSIM’s Office of the COO reporting to the MSIM FMIL’s DP for Distribution and will be based full time in the Dublin office. MSIM FMIL is responsible for the distribution of its managed funds and services globally and for the distribution of non-managed funds within the EU. Distribution is largely through wealth and institutional channels. MSIM FMIL’s Distribution Oversight includes the oversight of activities related to the distribution lifecycle and to MSIM FMIL’s Branch activities.

The successful individual will be primarily responsible for supporting the oversight of MSIM FMIL’s inter-affiliate delegates, branches and third-party service providers across public and private market platforms. The candidate will also support the evolution and execution of MSIM FMIL’s distribution governance framework.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversight of distribution related inter-affiliates delegates and third-party service providers ensuring full compliance with outsourcing requirements.

Oversee and strengthen the outsourcing governance framework related to distribution to meet firm and regulatory expectations.

Prepare and evolve senior briefing materials, board packs, and governance reporting, ensuring clarity, quality, and strategic insight.

Monitor industry and regulatory developments and assess impact on distribution oversight framework.

Lead the build out of reporting tools and systems to deepen and improve MSIM FMIL’s distribution oversight.

Review and, where required, develop policies and procedures for distribution

At times lead certain MSIM FMIL distribution related projects and routinely contribute to projects and initiatives driven by the office of the COO and by delegates.

Qualifications, skills and attributes

Extensive prior relevant asset management experience in a control and/or governance related function.

Experience in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, with exposure to board level engagement

Demonstrable project engagement and management skills.

Strong academics; educated to degree standard or equivalent. Professional financial qualifications would be an advantage.

Leadership & Ownership: Ability to take accountability for key deliverables with a strong drive to lead, influence, and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Analytical Excellence: Strong judgement with the ability to assess implications, identify root causes, and resolve issues independently.

Executive‑level Communication: Ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders, committees and boards.

Relationship Leadership: Proven ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate across functional and organizational boundaries.

Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy, governance, and high‑quality execution.

Planning & Organization: Strong ability to prioritise, manage competing deadlines, and lead workstreams in a dynamic environment
