Position Description:

The Investment Operations Assistant Manager will be responsible for the oversight of an Investment Operations team. The Investment Operations team centralizes some of the primary valuation functions across the fund accounting department including pricing, corporate actions, and dividend processing. Key responsibilities will include:

What you’ll do:

Daily, weekly and monthly sign-off on the output in agreement with SAS 70 procedures

Trade input through automated trading system

Monitoring day to day work involving securities, including receipts of dividends, pricing, and corporate actions

Facilitate in the design and implementation of core efficiencies

Create and implement operational standards and procedures across the team

Assist with the professional development of staff and supervisors

Train new employees

Stay abreast of current industry developments

Maintain a good working relationship with clients, transfer agents, custodians and internal relationship managers

Coordinate human resources functions, including hiring and periodic employee performance appraisals

Write and discuss employees’ performance appraisals

What you bring to the table:

B.S./B.A. in Accounting or related field

Minimum of 5 years of mutual fund accounting experience

Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience

Knowledge of portfolio accounting systems

Knowledge of database programming (Access, SQL and VBA) a plus

Experience of Project Management

Experience of Vendor Management
