Help shape how Group IT prioritises and invests in the future

At STARK Group IT, we are in the middle of a major business and technology transformation. As we modernise our technology landscape and invest in new digital capabilities, the need for transparent prioritisation, strong governance and informed investment decisions has never been greater.

We are therefore looking for an IT Portfolio & Investment Manager to help connect business demand, IT investments, service commitments and delivery capacity across Group IT, creating the visibility and structure leadership needs to make informed decisions.

This newly established role gives you ownership of the Group IT-wide intake process and prioritisation framework, building on proven governance from our major transformation programme. You will influence how Group IT evaluates investment opportunities, balances competing priorities and translates strategic ambitions into an actionable portfolio. You will provide the transparency, analysis and recommendations that support decisions, while accountable service owners and leadership forums retain the investment decisions.

Your impact - What you will deliver and how to be successful

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will join the IT Finance team alongside two Finance Controllers, a student worker and a Project Controller. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and mature the processes that enable informed and transparent decisions about investments, priorities and resource allocation. You will work across Group IT management, Programme Management, Group Finance, business units, service and initiative owners and delivery teams to connect demand, investments, service commitments and delivery capacity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and continuously improving a Group IT-wide intake process with clear entry criteria, assessment steps, roles, governance forums and decision points.
  • Creating and maintaining a trusted overview of Group IT projects, investment requests and business-facing IT services.
  • Developing and facilitating a transparent prioritisation approach that helps Group IT balance running, improving and developing services.
  • Supporting initiative and service owners in strengthening business cases, expected outcomes, benefits, costs and funding requirements.
  • Preparing and facilitating portfolio reviews and planning activities that make decisions, dependencies and accountabilities visible and support both operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Providing concise management insight into demand, funding, portfolio risks, business value, resource capacity and service health.
  • Continuously improving portfolio governance while keeping processes pragmatic and avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Success in this role

Success is about creating transparency, alignment and better investment decisions across Group IT. You will help establish a portfolio management capability that enables leadership to balance demand, investments, capacity, service commitments and strategic priorities through a clear and practical governance framework.

During your first six months, you will:

  • Build strong relationships across Group IT, Finance, programme management (PMO), business units and key governance stakeholders.
  • Understand the governance already in place and establish a reliable baseline of projects, investment initiatives and business-facing IT services.
  • Align stakeholders on common intake processes, prioritisation principles, decision rights and governance forums.

By the end of your first year, you will:

  • Have implemented a practical and widely adopted Group IT-wide intake and prioritisation process.
  • Provide leadership with a consolidated view of demand, investments, service commitments and delivery capacity.
  • Have established portfolio governance as a trusted decision framework rather than an additional reporting layer.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating structure and clarity in complex environments and who can build alignment across a broad stakeholder landscape. You are comfortable navigating competing priorities, facilitating discussions and turning incomplete information into clear recommendations and decision material. You understand that effective governance is ultimately about enabling better decisions and outcomes, not creating additional bureaucracy.

We expect that you bring

  • Solid experience in portfolio management, enterprise PMO, programme governance or a closely related role in a complex IT organisation.
  • Experience establishing or scaling intake, prioritisation and governance processes across several teams or functions.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding of business cases, costs, benefits, funding and portfolio trade-offs.
  • The analytical ability to turn incomplete information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • A pragmatic and collaborative style, with the confidence to challenge priorities constructively and create progress without relying on formal authority.
  • Professional fluency in English and relevant higher education or equivalent practical experience.

It would be an advantage if you have

  • Experience with service portfolios, service ownership or lifecycle management.
  • Worked across agile, product-oriented and plan-driven delivery environments in an international or federated organisation.

We recognise that experienced candidates may bring different combinations of portfolio, PMO, service-management and financial expertise. We encourage you to apply even if you do not match every point above.

The primary workplace is Viby, Frederiksberg or Lisbon. The role includes approximately 20 travel days per year.

Why join Group IT?

  • A meaningful mandate: Build on proven project governance while taking ownership of capabilities Group IT still needs to establish.
  • Visible impact: Improve how Group IT considers funding, capacity, demand and service commitments.
  • Broad collaboration: Work directly with leaders, specialists, business units and the PMO for our major transformation programme.
  • Room for professional judgement: Bring your experience, recognise what already works and shape pragmatic improvements together with the people who will use them.

You will join an informal and collaborative international working environment with direct access to decision-makers. We value clear recommendations, constructive challenge and solutions that work in practice.
