Description

The IT Systems Specialist is Trans Lease's dedicated, on-site IT resource. Reporting to Transwest IT, with day-to-day scheduling coordinated with Trans Lease's Director of Technology, this role supports Trans Lease's infrastructure and end users to Transwest IT standards. It also maintains Trans Lease's on-premises business applications: LeaseComplete (lease servicing), Dynamics GP (accounting) and DocStar (document imaging). Because Trans Lease is an equipment finance company, the role works daily with lease servicing systems and sensitive customer financial data.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & End User Support

  • Desktop support: Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals, plus the 3CX phone system and Verkada cameras.
  • On/offboarding: Set up AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin, MFA, Bitwarden, devices, phones, Wi-Fi and key fobs before each new hire's first day. Configure and ship devices to remote employees. Recover equipment and access at offboarding.
  • Servers: Patch, monitor, run space/log reviews and verify backups for Trans Lease application, web and SQL Server hosts, including VM licensing, during scheduled after-hours maintenance windows.
  • Certificates: Track, renew and deploy SSL/TLS certificates, and maintain a renewal calendar so nothing expires unnoticed.
  • Network & file shares: Support LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and Zero Trust remote access under Transwest IT direction. Handle F-Drive and S-Drive folder moves, reorganizations, migrations and permissions.
  • Tickets: Work Trans Lease ClickUp (onboarding, maintenance scheduling, application requests) and the Transwest IT ticketing system. Escalate complex infrastructure issues to Transwest IT.
  • Security & assets: Maintain endpoint protection, AD policy and access reviews, and keep hardware and license inventory current.

On-Premises Business Applications

  • Administration: Administer and maintain LeaseComplete, Dynamics GP and DocStar, including user accounts, permissions, updates, upgrades and after-hours release deployments.
  • LeaseComplete operations: Run recurring LeaseComplete operations, including the month-end close and annual calendar updates.
  • Data maintenance: Handle GP adjustments and commission and user matrices, and monitor automated invoice workflows to catch and correct errors.
  • Vendor support: Serve as subject-matter expert and support contact with application vendors (e.g., Dominion for LeaseComplete), opening and managing support cases through resolution.

Documentation and Continuity

  • Server documentation: Document every server Trans Lease uses, including its purpose, dependencies and maintenance procedures, using Transwest IT's Production Server Documentation Template, and keep it current.
  • Runbooks & continuity: Maintain runbooks for recurring procedures, starting with the LeaseComplete month-end close. Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and cross-train peers.
  • Out of scope: Cloud business applications (Salesforce, Power BI, SAP Concur, DocuSign, eOriginal, Nintex, Tamarack), ETL, integration and reporting development, Paynet credit bureau reporting, and vendor contracts remain with the Trans Lease Systems team.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Windows Server and Active Directory (including file and folder permissions), plus Google Workspace administration and SSO/MFA tools such as OneLogin.
  • Comfort in SQL Server Management Studio: backups, restores and running T-SQL scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware, printers, patching and backups, plus networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Clear communication and customer service skills, including walking non-technical users through fixes.
  • An organized, independent, “get-it-done” approach, with availability for occasional after-hours maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Dominion LeaseComplete, Microsoft Dynamics GP or DocStar, or with comparable lease accounting, ERP or document imaging systems.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+ or Security+, or a Google Workspace administrator certification.
  • Experience with SSL/TLS certificates, Zero Trust or Cloudflare tooling, ticketing platforms (e.g., ClickUp, ServiceNow), basic JSON/XML, and equipment leasing or financial services environments.

Work Environment & Physical Abilities:

  • Requires frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

Job Details:

  • Type: Salary
  • Compensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000
  • Reports To: IT Director
  • Closing Date: Open Until Filled
