Position Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, professional, and welcoming environment throughout Vantage Aviation's FBO facility. This position performs routine cleaning and custodial duties in customer-facing and employee areas, restrooms, offices, common spaces, and other assigned areas. The role supports the overall customer experience and daily FBO operation by ensuring facilities are consistently maintained to Vantage standards. Because the Rifle location operates in a cold-weather environment, this position will regularly work in and around winter conditions and may assist with keeping facility entrances and pedestrian areas safe and accessible during snow and ice events.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

• •Clean and maintain the FBO lobby, customer lounge, conference areas, offices, employee spaces, restrooms, kitchens/breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• •Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, clean glass and windows, and perform other routine custodial tasks according to established schedules and standards.
• •Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and other high-use areas throughout the workday.
• •Empty trash and recycling receptacles and properly dispose of waste in designated collection areas.
• •Monitor and replenish janitorial, restroom, and common-area supplies; notify management when inventory is low or additional materials are needed.
• •Maintain clean and orderly entrances, walkways, vestibules, and other areas immediately surrounding the FBO facility.
• •Assist with snow and ice removal from entrances, sidewalks, and pedestrian areas, including shoveling and applying approved ice-melt products as directed.
• •Promptly identify and report facility damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, leaks, or other conditions requiring attention.
• •Follow all safety procedures for the use, labeling, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• •Use cleaning equipment and tools safely and properly and maintain janitorial storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
• •Respond promptly and professionally to cleaning needs that arise during daily FBO operations, including needs in customer-facing areas.
• •Coordinate cleaning activities around customers, aircraft operations, and other FBO activities to minimize disruption and maintain a professional environment.
• •Follow Vantage Aviation policies, airport rules, security requirements, and applicable safety procedures while working on airport property.
• •Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• •Proven previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, hospitality, or commercial cleaning experience.
• •Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently with attention to detail.
• •Ability to safely use cleaning products, tools, and equipment in accordance with instructions and safety requirements.
• •Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Prior experience working in an FBO or airport environment.
• •Experience safely using commercial cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• •Experience working in cold-weather environments and performing snow/ice removal around building entrances and pedestrian areas.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is anticipated.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

• •Work is performed in an active FBO/airport environment and includes both indoor and outdoor duties.
• •Regular exposure to cold temperatures, snow, ice, wind, and rapidly changing winter weather conditions is expected at the Rifle, Colorado location.
• •Must be able to safely work around wet, slippery, snowy, or icy walking surfaces and follow required winter-weather safety practices.
• •Requires frequent continuous standing and walking; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand/arm movements are regularly required.
• •Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• •Requires the ability to use janitorial tools and equipment, including vacuums, mops, brooms, carts, shovels, and other cleaning or snow-removal equipment.
• •May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, aircraft noise, vehicle traffic, and other conditions typical of an airport/FBO environment; required personal protective equipment must be used as directed.
• •Schedule flexibility may be required based on FBO operating hours, weather events, customer activity, and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
