Senior Technology Lead(C13)
Position Summary '
The Senior Technology Lead is responsible for leading end-to-end software development, architecture, delivery, and support of enterprise applications. This role combines deep expertise in Java, microservices architecture, database optimization, and emerging AI technologies to build scalable digital and AI-enabled solutions. The individual will provide technical leadership, establish engineering best practices, build and mentor high-performing teams, and drive technology strategy from concept through production support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete Software Development Life Cycle including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
Drive architecture decisions focused on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
Lead AI-enabled initiatives and collaborate with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for AI-assisted automation, analytics, and intelligent applications.
Evaluate and leverage AI tools, GenAI platforms, LLM integrations, vector databases, and AI development frameworks where appropriate.
Optimize database design, SQL performance, indexing strategies, data access patterns, and application performance.
Build, lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Provide technical guidance through architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring.
Partner with senior stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
Oversee application support, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform stability.
Required Technical Skills
13+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java expertise.
Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
Expertise in relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Mongo.
Proven experience in database performance, tuning, and optimization.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
Working knowledge of AI technologies, Generative AI, machine learning concepts, AI agents, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI development tools.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems.
Leadership Expectations
Lead teams of developers, engineers, and technical specialists.
Establish engineering standards, governance, and best practices.
Provide career coaching, performance feedback, and talent development.
Drive delivery excellence across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leadership.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
