• The Senior Software Engineer is an experienced senior-level full-stack developer with a background in systems management, agile methodology and operational ready products.
• The role will be responsible for the improvement of current systems and providing knowledge of efficient development practices, with proficiency in full-stack development.
• Mentoring others and a strong desire to continuously maintain and improve quality is a key success factor for the role.

Experience and Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• •8+ years' experience in full-stack development, strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and server-side languages (Node.js, Express and Python are required).
• •8+ years’ experience with modern front-end frameworks (React is required).
• •4+ years' experience in AWS RDS services (Aurora/PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• •4+ years' experience with AWS and Cloud deployment.
• •2+ years' experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Circle CI and AWS CDK).
• •Familiarity with version control systems and their platforms (Git and GitHub are required).
• •Good understanding of designing RESTful APIs.
• •Good understanding of micro-service and event-driven architectures.
• •Best practices and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• •Understanding of implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

• •Strong algorithm design, logical and reasoning skills.
• •Ability to deliver POCs, MVPs, Experiments, technology evaluations following design- thinking practices.
• •Ability to orchestrate efforts needed to prioritize business initiatives across complex change agendas.
• •Excellent communication, and work in a team environment to collaborate with other Developers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Infrastructure teams.
• •Problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• •Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• •Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices for new projects.
• •Contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices within the team.
• •Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• •Collaborate with Project Managers and other Stakeholders to ensure project success.
• •Identify and propose solutions for technical debt and system improvements.
• •Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• •Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
