• Position Overview:
• We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a cross-functional team operating in the alcoholic beverage industry, specifically within a B2B e-commerce platform that is already active in 30 countries. This client is one of our largest partners, and this role is vital for the transformation and continuous improvement of the business model and the scaling of the application. As a Senior Individual Contributor on an end-to-end integration team, you will operate a managed integration platform that connects partner systems of record (ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS) to this global omnichannel commerce platform, extracting commercial, customer, product, pricing, inventory, order, and fulfillment data from partner systems and landing it reliably downstream. In this position, you will work collaboratively across the full lifecycle — build, deployment, hypercare, steady-state operation, and L3 on-call — partnering closely with partner technical teams throughout.

• Responsibilities:
• * Collaborate with various teams to design and deliver innovative, reliable integration solutions in a B2B global e-commerce environment, connecting partner ERP, CRM, OMS, and WMS systems of record to the downstream omnichannel commerce platform.
• * Own the end-to-end data integration flow — extraction, transformation, mapping, validation, reconciliation, ingestion, and delivery — for commercial, customer, product, pricing, inventory, order, and fulfillment data.
• * Utilize your experience to leverage the best tools and technologies to refine and enhance integration development and operations practices for your team.
• * Engage in problem-solving activities, requiring conceptual thinking to create effective solutions under production conditions, including incidents and hypercare windows.
• * Employ practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-tested, observable integrations with low defect rates (logging, distributed tracing, alerting, runbooks).
• * Own the full delivery lifecycle for assigned partners: new-partner onboarding and build, deployment, hypercare, and steady-state operation, with allocation between onboarding and operations set by leadership.
• * Participate in the 24/7 L3 on-call rotation (24-hour shifts, rotating daily among engineers currently allocated to Maintenance, respecting minimum legally required rest periods between shifts), handling escalations passed up by the dedicated L1/L2 operations team.
• * Act as a trusted technical point of contact for partner teams across the lifecycle — this is a heavily customer-facing role.
• * Use AI coding agents as a primary, daily delivery tool, critically evaluating AI-generated output for hallucinated APIs or plausible-but-wrong logic, in line with the AI-native delivery posture directed by leadership for all developers.

• Requirements for this Challenge
• Must have:
• * Senior experience designing, delivering, AND operating integrations between enterprise systems of record (ERP/CRM) and downstream commerce/omnichannel platforms.
• * Strong knowledge of the full data integration flow end-to-end — extraction, transformation, mapping, validation, reconciliation, ingestion, delivery — across REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks and event streaming, SFTP/file exchange, middleware/iPaaS, ETL/ELT, and batch processing.
• * Java (Backend);
• * Azure Data Factory;
• * REST API;
• * Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Security, production-depth);
• * RabbitMQ or equivalent message brokers;
• * PostgreSQL;
• * Docker + Kubernetes;
• * Tests (JUnit / E2E);
• * Observability discipline (logging, distributed tracing, alerting, runbooks);
• * Customer-facing maturity — comfortable owning conversations with partner technical teams across the lifecycle;
• * Comfortable working under pressure (production incidents, hypercare windows, customer-visible outages) and making technical decisions with incomplete information;
• * AI-native engineering (required, not optional) — daily, fluent use of AI coding agents as a primary delivery tool, with critical evaluation of AI output;
• * Advanced English, fluent in technical meetings with external stakeholders.
