• Position Overview:
• Bertke Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to support operations at a steel mill facility in Ghent, KY. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced in industrial electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a steel mill environment

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime

Bend and install rigid conduit and related components

Work with a variety of tools, equipment, and lift systems

Follow all safety procedures and company policies in a high-risk industrial setting

Collaborate with team members and other trades as needed

Requirements:

Valid and current Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Kentucky (preferred, not required)

Proven experience working in an industrial environment (steel mill experience preferred)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to climb stairs and work at heights using lifts

Ability to bend rigid conduit
