Journeyman Electrician

Job Responsibilities

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a manufacturing environment in accordance with local and national codes.

• •Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• •Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics
• •Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical devices
• •Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issues
• •Ensure all installations are compliant with the NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes
• •Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components
• •Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards
• •Assist in maintaining electrical parts stocking levels to ensure proper parts are on hand.

Requirements & Qualifications

• •Valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician license (TDLR - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) or better
• •3+ years of commercial electrical experience
• •Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• •Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• •Must be able to operate mobile equipment (aerial lifts, scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
• •Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform quality installations
• •Ability to work in outdoor environments
• •Computer literate: Microsoft Applications and CMMS software
• •Strong manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the procurement/supply chain process
