Junior Engineering Technician

Amentum is seeking a Junior RF Engineering Technician to support our Dahlgren, Virginia team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division .

Junior RF Engineering Technician Responsibilities Include:

• •Operate and maintain equipment necessary to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing .
• •Support verification testing of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems .
• •Conduct testing to determine whether systems under evaluation meet E3 design specifications .
• •Assess the ability of systems to function in their intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint .
• •Interface and communicate directly with customers.
• •Work collaboratively as part of a team to support a wide variety of test events.
• •Travel as required to support testing activities, up to 10% of the time .

Minimum Requirements

• •One (1) year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems.
• •Knowledge of using one or more of the following: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs).
• •Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
• •Candidate must maintain a valid REAL ID driver’s license , required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position may require travel between local work sites.
• •Ability to travel up to 10% of the time .
• •On-the-job mentoring is provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Vocational or technical training beyond high school.

Compensation Details:

US: 24.68
