Your Role

As a Junior Java Developer with Capgemini, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and support of software solutions while building your technical expertise in Java development. Working under the guidance of experienced team members, you will participate in delivering high-quality software components, supporting integration activities, and learning industry best practices within a collaborative and international environment.

In this role you will:

• •Develop, maintain, and document software components based on functional and technical specifications.
• •Implement application features using Java and related frameworks, following coding standards and development guidelines.
• •Assist in the development and integration of application components, APIs, and services.
• •Create and execute unit tests, support testing activities, and help identify and resolve software defects.
• •Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality and development practices.
• •Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including technical specifications, installation guides, and operational procedures.
• •Support system deployment, configuration, and maintenance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• •Troubleshoot application issues and work with team members to identify and implement solutions.
• •Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and other stakeholders within Agile teams.
• •Continuously develop technical skills and stay up to date with modern Java technologies and development practices.

Your Profile

• •Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java programming language and a strong interest in enterprise software development.
• •Familiarity with Java frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, or JPA is considered an advantage.
• •Understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and coding best practices.
• •Basic knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and application integration concepts.
• •Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and SQL fundamentals.
• •Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• •Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle concepts.
• •Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito is considered an asset.
• •Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools is considered an advantage.
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning abilities.
• •Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in team-oriented and multicultural environments.
• •Minimum 2 years of overall IT experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Java development and related frameworks.
• •Excellent communication skills in French and English.
