This hybrid role combines content production and marketing promotion and is directly responsible for leading the planning and execution of commercial music release projects. You will bridge creative vision and commercial objectives, independently managing end-to-end core music projects - from early-stage planning, A&R and content creation to full campaign rollout amid growing project scale and complexity that demand strong cross-team collaboration and resource coordination. Join us to lead landmark music initiatives and fuel commercial growth through creative content and innovative marketing.
What you'll do:
Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research on music genres, major streaming platforms and user music consumption behaviours; propose and pitch new content projects based on data insights and market trends.
Content Planning & A&R: Scout songwriters, producers and artists for projects; oversee quality control of mixes, masters and final deliverables; identify commercially valuable music content aligned with market trends.
Marketing & Release Strategy: Formulate release strategies and marketing plans, refine core selling points, product positioning and narrative promotion angles with key marketing hooks and storytelling angles.
Project Management: Oversee timelines, deliverables and budget control for all content projects; coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to ensure smooth execution of both in-house and co-produced projects.
Rights & Compliance: Manage copyright licensing and compliance clearance for co-produced content.
Partnership & Execution: Independently communicate, execute and advance cooperation matters; follow up contracts and maintain partner relationships.
Performance Tracking: Track core KPIs including streaming volumes, revenue and ROI, and optimize campaigns based on performance data.
Complete other temporary work assigned by the supervisor and the company.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Music, Communication, Marketing and related disciplines are preferred.
3-5 years of working experience in the music industry, with proven full-cycle song promotion experience from zero to one; proficient in the complete music production workflow and marketing logic.
Possess dual A&R and marketing capabilities; capable of independently managing end-to-end music projects with a track record of successful hit song releases.
Familiar with promotion logics and algorithm mechanisms of mainstream music & short-video platforms, including QQ Music, NetEase, Cloud Music, Douyin, Kuaishou and Bilibili.
Excellent content planning acumen, able to spot commercially valuable music content by capturing market trends timely.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with outstanding time management and cross-department communication & coordination skills; resilient and able to thrive under heavy work pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English proficiency.
Established personal network of artists, producers and songwriters; able to integrate industry resources to facilitate project delivery.
In-depth professional insight into specific music genres especially electronic dance music (e.g., hip-hop, folk, pop).
Previous employment experience at record labels, hit-song indie labels or content studios of music streaming platforms.
Show/Performance industry experiences/resources.
