Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Trader with Fixed Income experience to join our trading team in Northfield, Illinois. This role is built for someone with experience on a relative value trading desk who is hungry, disciplined, and willing to put in the work required to develop into a strong trader.

This is an on-site role. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Chicago area and work from our Northfield office for no less than two years.

Job Responsibilities:

Support relative value trading activity across fixed income and related markets.

Help identify and evaluate relative value opportunities.

Monitor market conditions, liquidity, positioning, and macroeconomic developments.

Assist with trade execution, risk monitoring, and portfolio analysis.

Work closely with senior traders, research, risk, and operations teams.

Build and maintain tools, reports, and models to support trading decisions.

Stay engaged with markets throughout the day and be prepared to work long hours when conditions require it.

Requirements:

Experience on a relative value trading desk, 6 months minimum.

Fixed income trading experience preferred.

Strong work ethic, discipline, and willingness to grind through details.

Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and improve through repetition.

Strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure.

Comfortable working in a demanding, performance-driven trading environment.

Must be willing to relocate to the Chicago area.

Must be able to work onsite at our Northfield office for a minimum of two years.

Takes ownership of outcomes and does not need constant hand-holding.

Is curious about markets and willing to do the daily work required to build edge.

Can handle pressure, uncertainty, and direct feedback.

Cares about precision, risk, and process.

The range below reflects the expected base salary for this position. It represents a good-faith estimate of the base pay we anticipate offering, with actual compensation determined by your experience, education, skills, and performance throughout the interview process. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus (at DV Trading's discretion) and DV Trading's benefits package, including the benefits listed above.

Base Salary Range

$80,000 — $120,000 USD
