Season Dates: November 2, 2026 through February 1, 2027

Adventure Christian School is seeking a qualified and motivated JV Boys Basketball Head Coach to lead our high school JV boys basketball program.

We are looking for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court and who will represent the mission and values of Adventure Christian School.

The JV Head Coach will work closely with the Varsity coaching staff to help create consistency throughout the ACHS Boys Basketball program. This position will be responsible for teaching basketball fundamentals, developing players, managing practices and games, and preparing athletes for future success at the varsity level.

Primary Responsibilities:

• •Plan and lead organized, high-energy practices.
• •Coach all JV games throughout the season.
• •Teach basketball fundamentals, team concepts, and game strategy.
• •Develop players with the goal of preparing them for the varsity program.
• •Work collaboratively with the Varsity Head Coach and basketball staff.
• •Maintain clear communication with players, parents, and the Athletic Department.
• •Promote sportsmanship, accountability, discipline, teamwork, and character.
• •Provide appropriate supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and team activities.
• •Represent Adventure Christian School and its Christian mission in a positive and professional manner.
• •Assist with equipment, uniforms, game-day responsibilities, and other program needs as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous basketball playing and/or coaching experience is preferred. Candidates should have a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and be able to effectively teach and communicate with high school student-athletes. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, energetic, and committed to creating a positive Christian environment for our athletes.

Physical Requirements

• •Position requires moderate physical exertion associated with the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or climb.
• •Position requires physical capability for sustained physical work, requires strength and endurance associated with moderate physical effort.
• •Position requires moderate physical effort while performing continuous moderate lifting.
• •Lifting 50 lbs. maximum or carrying an object up to 25 lbs.
