JOB DESCRIPTION
Keppel is a leading global asset manager and operator with strong capabilities in energy & environment, urban development and connectivity, creating solutions for a sustainable future.
- The intern will be responsible in the following:
- '- Assist in the timely closing of accounts and preparation of consolidation schedules
- - Assist to prepare financial schedules, statutory accounts and ensuring quality of accounts
- - Prepare month-end journals in accordance with established processes, work procedures and local legal and statutory requirements
- - Perform reconciliation of monthly audit schedules, inter-company and bank transactions
- - Assist in preparing reports for operational performance /control compliance review"
- - Assist in process review, process improvement initiatives, assessing and developing automation solutions.
- - Support on going system implementation or process transformation projects
- Learning Outcomes:
- '-Understand the closing process of accounts and how it contributes to group reporting
- -Understand the preparation of reporting packages/financial statements
- -Understande analysis used by finance to monitor performance/control compliance
- -Exposure to finance operations across different tracks
- -Hands-on experience in process optimisation and finance transformation initiatives
- -Practical exposure to automation tools and digital solutions in a finance environment
- -Understanding of internal controls, audit considerations, and standardisation in large-scale operations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- - Undergraduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics or related disciplines
- - Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial processes (e.g. AP, AR, GL, closing cycle)
- - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, use of formulas)
- - Good analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends/issues
- - Exposure to data tools or systems (e.g. Power BI, SAP, or equivalent) is an advantage
- - Demonstrates interest in process improvement, standardisation, or operational efficiency
- - Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
