Position Summary

The Lab Assistant plays a vital role in patient care by performing phlebotomy services for both inpatients and outpatients in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner. This position is also responsible for supporting laboratory operations through various essential functions.

Key Responsibilities

• •Perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and minimal patient discomfort
• •Collect and properly label blood specimens as ordered by physicians
• •Ensure specimens are handled and transported according to laboratory standards
• •Support lab staff with day-to-day laboratory tasks as needed
• •Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety and compliance standards

Requirements

Education & Experience

• •High school diploma or equivalent required
• •Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or equivalent training and experience
• •One year of prior experience preferred

Certifications

Phlebotomy certification preferred
