Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our Necropsy team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37hrs

Job Responsibilities:

• •Stock control, reagent preparation and ordering of consumables, labelling of pots and slides
• •Preparation/ archiving of a range of animal samples in accordance with study paperwork and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• •General housekeeping and cleaning procedures to ensure the continued daily operation of the laboratory
• •May assist in routine laboratory procedures, including animal postmortems and foetal sectioning
• •Working within the confines of a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment

Minimum Qualification s:

GCSEs of grades C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science

Additional Job Standards:

• •All tasks will be performed with minimal supervision on satisfactory completion of training
• •All training will be provided, and this is a great first step for anyone looking to get into the industry. You will be joining a team who are supportive, collaborative and really work together to ensure the companies goals are met
• •Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
• •Some manual lifting is required
• •Some weekend work may be required
• •Competent with Excel and Word applications

We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who will do the preparation of a range of samples in our Necropsy team for tasks performed in the laboratory .
