Labourer

Under the supervision of the foreman, the labourer performs various manual tasks to support construction site operations. The labourer works as part of a structured team on a rotating schedule and contributes to the safe and efficient completion of work.

What does a labourer do?

Performs various manual tasks required for construction site operations

Handles, transports, and organizes materials, tools, and equipment

Assists skilled tradespeople and equipment operators as required

Performs general site preparation, cleanup, and maintenance

Uses various hand and power tools

Works in coordination with the construction site team to carry out tasks according to instructions and applicable health and safety standards

What does it take to be a labourer?

Relevant construction or industrial experience, an asset

Ability to perform physically demanding work

Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions

Ability to work in a team environment

General explosives permit, an asset
