Summary :

We are seeking a reliable Laser Operator to operate CNC laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves loading materials, running production, inspecting parts, performing basic machine maintenance, and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• •Operate the Bystronic BySmart Fiber 4020 laser cutting machine.
• •Upload and verify programs for production runs.
• •Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to prioritize and schedule work.
• •Load raw material and unload finished parts using a forklift.
• •Inspect parts for quality and ensure they meet production requirements.
• •Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning the machine, shuttle tables, and slats.
• •Replace worn slats and assist with other routine equipment upkeep.
• •Monitor machine performance and work with the Maintenance department to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• •Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• •Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• •Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
• •Forklift experience or the ability to become forklift certified.
• •Ability to read work orders, drawings, and production documentation.
• •Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• •Ability to safely lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment.
