About the Role

As Lead AI Engineer, you will shape the platform behind a team of AI agents for procurement workflows. Working closely with technical and product teammates, you will turn advances in AI into dependable capabilities that help customers get complex work done.

What You'll Do

Build agent orchestration, context management, memory, and programmatic tool-calling foundations.

Enable agents to perform real work through sandboxed code execution and permission-aware data access.

Develop evaluations for multi-turn workflows so agent quality and reliability can be measured.

Integrate models and build inference infrastructure to make AI practical at scale.

Create shared platform foundations that help product engineers deliver capabilities effectively.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with strong TypeScript skills and Python familiarity a plus.

Experience shipping LLM-powered systems to real customers and owning them after launch.

Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, and context management.

Experience with sandboxed execution, inference infrastructure, or similarly demanding production systems.

Sound engineering judgment, a practical leadership style, and a track record of helping other engineers succeed.

Evaluation frameworks, failure investigation, or procurement experience are helpful but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary and meaningful equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site in Berlin, Germany.
