WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike By You (NBY) gives consumers the opportunity to create customised Nike footwear products. As Nike builds the capability to extend this proposition from individual consumers to businesses ordering in bulk, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to help shape the model and accelerate growth once the capability becomes available.
This is an entrepreneurial role for someone who combines strong sales capability with commercial and financial acumen. You will be comfortable creating a new proposition from the ground up, turning complex inputs into a clear story, and engaging prospective business customers with confidence. You can move between strategy and execution, from building the operating playbook and margin model to pitching partners, forecasting demand and monitoring performance.
You thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. You can lead a squad without relying on formal authority, align diverse stakeholders around a shared plan, and solve problems creatively when the route forward is not yet established. You communicate clearly, plan rigorously and bring a can-do attitude. Most importantly, you act like an owner, taking accountability for the opportunity, the customer experience and the commercial outcome.
Skills required
- Project management, with the ability to translate an emerging opportunity into a clear plan, milestones and deliverables.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including margin economics, business-case development and performance management.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to build a compelling external value proposition.
- Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, pitching, relationship building and progressing opportunities.
- Experience leading cross-functional squads and influencing stakeholders across different functions.
- Planning and forecasting capability, including the use of assumptions, targets and required business inputs.
- Creative problem solving, particularly in new or evolving operating environments.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the agility to adapt as the capability and marketplace develop.
- An owner mindset, with personal accountability for decisions, actions and outcomes.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
In this role, you will be part of Nike Digital Commerce and will work across the wider Nike By You and Nike Direct Digital organisation. Success will depend on close partnership across commercial, operational and enabling functions to build a viable proposition and deliver a seamless experience for business customers.
Key cross-functional partnerships
Digital Commerce, Finance, Global Nike By You, Digital Marketing, Communications, Legal, Supply Chain, Digital Operations, Sport Teams and Consumer Services.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Build the playbook for a Nike By You customisation model that is fit for a business-to-business marketplace.
- Map the margin economics and commercial assumptions required to make the model financially viable for Nike.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design an end-to-end process, from the first pitch to an account through to order delivery.
- Create an external-facing pitch deck that clearly communicates the proposition and its value to prospective business customers.
- Proactively identify and engage prospective partners, building a network and pipeline of customers.
- Develop the business forecast, documenting the assumptions, milestones and deliverables needed to achieve the plan.
- Communicate business performance regularly, combining retrospective reporting with a forward-looking view of opportunities, risks and required actions.
This job posting will expire on 12 November 2026.
No relocation is offered for this position.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
