In Cloud, Data and AI at PwC, you will focus on utilizing advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from large datasets and drive data-driven decision-making. You will leverage skills in data manipulation, visualization, and statistical modelling to support clients in solving complex business problems.

You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values in a meaningful way. You embrace technology and innovation to enhance your delivery and encourage others to do the same.

  • Analyse and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system.
  • Take ownership of projects, ensuring their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.

  • Develop skills outside your comfort zone, and encourage others to do the same.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

6 + years of experience in data engineering or architecture with an emphasis on data analytics and reporting

Proficiency in developing data pipelines on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud

6 + years of experience in design and development of large scale data solutions using data modelling/ data munging/ data management tool sets such as SQL Server, Oracle DB, Azure Synapse, Redshift, Alteryx, Databricks, Azure Data factory, AWS Glue, Informatica, Collibra, Denodo etc.

Experience building data processing pipelines to integrate large datasets from multiple sources and formats

Experience designing and developing data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within big data architecture using Python/Java/SQL etc.

Proficiency in big data technologies and tools such as Spark/ PySpark , Hadoop, Hive, Kafka

Proficiency in common machine Learning libraries in Python, Spark, and Deep Learning/AI frameworks considered an asset

Proficiency in any of the following programming languages, frameworks and technologies: JavaScript, React, Node.JS, Python, R, D3.JS, open source databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB considered an asset

Data engineering certification is a plus

The salary range for this position is $112,400 - $162,400. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
