About the Role

Lead the design and operation of a production data platform for a procurement technology business. This hands-on technical leadership role connects enterprise data systems to reliable analytics, working closely with product engineering and customer IT teams.

What You'll Do

Design multi-tenant architecture, reusable data models, and access controls that keep customer data isolated and queries performant.

Build data cleaning, reconciliation, and calculation foundations for spend analysis, supplier comparisons, benchmarks, and simulations.

Develop repeatable ERP integrations and synchronization patterns in collaboration with customer IT teams.

Own ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery for production data systems.

Create tools and workflows that make data onboarding, troubleshooting, and analytical feature development more efficient.

Experiment with AI development tools and automate repetitive engineering work.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of experience building production data systems, including ownership of architecture and implementation.

Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in data modeling and query optimization.

Practical experience designing multi-tenant systems with data isolation and access controls.

Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERPs and working directly with customer IT teams.

Experience owning ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and recovery in production.

Background in data-intensive B2B SaaS or fintech is useful; procurement experience is not required.

On-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates should be based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
