iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Lead Front-End Developer, E-Commerce remotely in the US.

iFIT is looking for an experienced Lead Front-End Developer to drive our web application architecture and lead a high-performing remote team. You will oversee front-end delivery across our web properties, with NordicTrack.com as your primary focus. In this role, you will lead the team building our e-commerce web applications on Next.js, working closely with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, QA, and product to deliver fast, accessible, and responsive experiences — while shaping architecture, mentoring developers, and driving A/B testing. You will report to the Senior Director of Software Engineering and manage a team of three direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the design and implementation of efficient, scalable, dynamic, and maintainable front-end solutions using Next.js.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, back-end developers, QA, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of dynamic front-end React components.

Lead and mentor the front-end development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment and supporting each developer’s professional growth; run training sessions and workshops on Next.js and other front-end best practices.

Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and code reviews to maintain high code quality.

Leverage GraphQL for efficient data fetching and manipulation of API data from composable e-commerce and headless CMS platforms.

Own front-end accessibility (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) and Core Web Vitals performance across our e-commerce sites.

Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in front-end development processes.

Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and sprint reviews.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 4 years, or 8+ years of professional front-end development experience.
