  • Training: Hands-On, Team-Customized, including SS&C University
  • Extra Perks: Discounts on fitness clubs, travel and more!

What You Will Get To Do:

  • As a Lead Platform Support Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our platform, ensuring system performance, availability, and reliability.
  • You will also lead and mentor a team of platform support engineers, acting as a technical leader and key point of contact for resolving complex issues.
  • You will collaborate with Development resources, DevOps Engineers, and members of our Product Teams to ensure smooth platform operation and support the deployment of new features.
  • Our platform runs across containerized and virtual-machine estates, deployed through GitOps and pipeline-driven automation. We expect our engineers to work fluently with modern AI-assisted engineering tooling as part of their daily practice — using it to accelerate troubleshooting, automation, and documentation without compromising rigor or change discipline.
  • While this is primarily a support leadership role, a limited portion of your time will be spent on hands-on DevOps engineering work in partnership with our Product Development and DevOps teams — building and refining the deployment automation you also operate.
  • Incident Management: Act as the escalation point for high-priority incidents, troubleshoot complex platform issues, and manage incident resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Platform Monitoring & Observability: Monitor platform performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. Extend and maintain observability coverage — metrics, logs, distributed traces, and service-level indicators — across the estate.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for recurring issues, implementing permanent fixes, and improving platform stability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve platform-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, streamline support processes, and reduce manual interventions.
  • CI/CD: Maintain classic and YAML-based Azure DevOps Release Pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows, ensuring robust CI/CD processes are in place.
  • GitOps & Continuous Delivery: Operate and maintain Argo CD–based GitOps delivery, including application and ApplicationSet definitions, sync policies, drift detection and remediation, and promotion across environments with Git as the declarative source of truth.
  • Container Platform Operations: Support and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes — workload scheduling, resource limits, autoscaling, ingress and service networking, persistent storage, secrets, and cluster upgrade and patching cycles.
  • IAC Review: Manage reviews and deployments of Terraform (custom provider environment) and SaltStack states to ensure consistency and efficiency in infrastructure management.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering: Use AI coding and operations assistants (for example Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or equivalent) in day-to-day work to accelerate scripting, automation, log and incident analysis, and documentation. Review and validate all AI-generated output before it reaches a pipeline or production system and help establish team practices and guardrails for responsible use.

What you will bring:

  • Experinece in Change Control Management: Oversee and enforce the Change Control process, ensuring all platform updates, infrastructure changes, and deployments follow established approval workflows, risk assessments, and rollback strategies to maintain system stability and compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of platform issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Provide regular reports on platform health, incident trends, and support KPIs to senior management.
  • • Production Deployment: Co-ordinate the planning and execution of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes.
  • • DevOps & Release Engineering: Spend a limited portion of your time on hands-on DevOps engineering alongside the Product Development and DevOps teams: defining and implementing automated system installation and configuration procedures across virtualized and private-cloud infrastructure, enhancing existing build and release pipelines, managing capacity and scalability, and evolving deployment architecture to follow emerging best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve platform support processes and capabilities.
  • Security: Oversee security and compliance adherence in application deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in platform support, system administration, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Experience with SOC-2 compliance and secure deployment practices.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix systems, and networking.
  • Hands-on production experience with containers and Kubernetes — container image build and lifecycle (Docker/OCI), Kubernetes workload and manifest troubleshooting, Helm or Kustomize packaging, and diagnosing pod, networking, storage, and resource-contention failures.
  • Practical experience with GitOps delivery using Argo CD (or an equivalent such as Flux), including declarative application definitions, sync and health status triage, and configuration drift remediation.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, SaltStack, Terraform).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Argo CD).
  • Experience with build automation, release and package management, and source control workflows (Azure DevOps/A
