Job Description Summary

  • Complex energy projects don't run themselves — they need someone who can hold the full picture: the customer relationship, the technical scope, the financial health, and the team behind it all. As a Lead Services Project Manager at GE Vernova Gas Power, you'll own end-to-end delivery of aftermarket upgrade projects across some of the most sophisticated equipment in the power industry, including Industrial Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), and balance-of-plant systems.
  • This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of accountability and collaboration — someone who can lead cross-functional teams, navigate complexity, and keep both the customer and the business moving in the same direction.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Own the customer relationship from project kick-off through close-out, serving as the primary GE Vernova point of contact and driving timely resolution of any issues that arise.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution — coordinating engineering, procurement, shipping logistics, field outage scope, and performance demonstration to ensure delivery on time and on target.
  • Manage project financials including sales, cost, margin, invoicing, receivables, and change orders, with full accountability for margin attainment and enhancement.
  • Drive project schedule in close collaboration with the Project Planner/Scheduler, managing critical path activities and responding decisively to scope or schedule changes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively throughout the project lifecycle, and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and execution excellence reviews.
  • Partner with regional GE Vernova teams to support portfolio growth, capture cost of poor quality, and reinforce high fulfillment standards across the business.

Who You Are

You are an experienced project leader with a track record of managing technically complex, multi-stakeholder projects in the power or heavy industry space — someone who communicates with equal confidence in a customer boardroom and an internal engineering review.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical degree.
  • Significant experience in field engineering, commercial, engineering, sourcing, repair, or power plant operations and maintenance involving Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, Boilers, Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS), HRSGs, or Aeroderivative equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, influencing outcomes without direct authority
  • Experience interpreting and applying contract terms and conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, completion of a Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP), or equivalent structured project management training
  • Familiarity with GE financial processes including revenue recognition, cost management, margin, and quarterly forecasting
  • Experience with extended-scope power plant projects involving auxiliary systems and balance-of-plant equipment
  • Quality certification or equivalent training
  • Ability to set realistic objectives, accurately appraise situations, detect risks and issues, and collaborate with GE internal teams and customer to find win-win solutions when issues arise
