Your Opportunity:

This position plays a key role in assessing the impacts of significant unusual transactions, assessing new accounting standards and regulations, and preparing the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.

You will contribute to our team by:

Advising on technical accounting matters and preparing supporting memos on an ad hoc basis, as required

Monitoring technical accounting matters and communicating them to the auditors and senior management on a quarterly basis

Preparing various supporting working papers on a quarterly and annual basis

Preparing or reviewing certain notes and supporting working papers to the quarterly and annual financial statements

Advising on transactional impacts to AFFO on an ad hoc basis

Monitoring IFRS developments and preparing a memo to the Audit Committee summarizing significant changes to IFRS, on a quarterly basis

Preparing an IFRS disclosure checklist supporting our quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures, and

performing various other SOX controls, as required

What you will bring to the role:

Education & Experience:

Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

A professional accounting designation

  • Experience working with IFRS
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-designation accounting experience.
  • Past experience working as part of a Financial Reporting team, Experience working for a publicly listed company is an asset

Experience with Oracle is an asset

Experience with US GAAP is an asset

Proficiency in excel and Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid: work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays.
  • 8 hours per day + reasonable overtime required during quarter ends.
  • Core hours are from 7:30-8:30 through 4:30-5:30.
