Job Responsibilities:

Learn the specifics of condemnation law, applying the general knowledge from academic studies

Learn the specifics of SAD law, county road law, and other relevant statutory provisions (FOIA, Open Meetings Act, etc.) and how they apply to agency’s work

Assist legal department team members with various projects as they arise

Assist in contract review and drafting

Research issues as directed

Participate in agency internship program activities including an end of the summer presentation

Skills Required:

Available to work 20-25 hours a week during RCOC standard hours of operation (Monday-Friday, 9:30-2:30)

The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Strong organization and time management skills

Strong accuracy and attention to detail

Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook proficiency required

Education/Certifications:

Second year law school student that has completed Property Law and Contract Law classes preferred

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Valid Driver’s License
