Description

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted contractor specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a valid Hawaii journeyman electrician license to support tenant improvement and new construction projects.

Schedule

• •Sunday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• •Overtime available but not guaranteed
• •Travel opportunities available

Responsibilities

• •Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, and CAT5/6 cabling, as specified for each project
• •Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and related commercial electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• •Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• •Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related electrical components
• •Troubleshoot electrical installation issues, malfunctions, and quality control test
• •Install refrigeration motor control wiring, as applicable; experience preferred
• •Properly wire-up Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred
• •Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, panel schedules, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements
• •Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete work efficiently and meet project schedules
• •Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• •Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• •Current journeyman electrical license issued by the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA)
• •Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu
• •Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule
• •Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• •Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
