As a School Counselor at Rivermont School, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional wellness, behavioral growth, and academic success. In this role, you will partner with educators, families, and clinical teams to create a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive. Your work will directly impact students with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs through compassionate care, collaboration, and evidence-based therapeutic support.

What You'll Need

Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development

Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure

Active Mandt certification

Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions

Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings

What You'll Do

Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement

Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals

Oversee PBIS planning, facilitate meetings, and provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior support strategies

Collaborate with families, schools, and outside agencies to improve the quality of care and student outcomes

Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele-psychiatry service as needed
