Join the Bear Tooth as a Line Cook! We are hiring in our Theatre and Grill kitchens. Evening availability is preferred.

As a Line Cook, your main focus is to prepare and create delicious, high-quality food that follows the Tooth Company's recipes and accommodates customer preferences. You will work closely with both front and back-of-house teams to ensure our guests have a fantastic dining experience. Line Cooks must maintain a clean work environment and follow company hygiene and dress code policies to ensure food safety. Join us for a fun and fulfilling opportunity!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

• •Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
• •Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
• •Read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
• •Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
• •Monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
• •Operate kitchen equipment safely
• •Proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
• •Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
• •Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
• •Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
• •Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
• •Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain one). Experience is preferred; however, this is a teaching kitchen, and we are willing to take on the right candidate with a positive attitude in place of experience.

• •Lift and Carry 30+ lbs
• •Work in hot and humid environments
• •Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• •Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• •Multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
• •Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
